We have just come back from Bulgaria and found Simon and Andree (of Fox Properties) very friendly and helpful. We have paid our deposit on a property with them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. When we went over we were very wary after hearing a lot of horror stories. However with these two there is no need, they helped us out every step of the way. They have access to a good lawyer and interpreter as well. | ||

| Simon and Andree showed us a better selection of properties than all the agencies from our previous trips. Their descriptions of properties were accurate and honest. They also made our trip relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable and have helped us in all aspects of our purchase. | ||

| We bought through fox too - lovely people - highly recommend them. We just got word that we now own our place - in Kardam - it is now officially ours. The whole process took 6 weeks - good going I reckon and a lot less hassle than here in the UK. | ||

| Just returned from Bulgaria and viewing with Simon and Andree - what a super couple - so helpful and honest. Unlike agents in this country. We bought in Spasovo and will be going out to live at the end of November. | ||

| We have just got back from another trip out to GT, met up with Simon and Andree again, introduced father in law to them (who is skeptical of everyone) and he too thought they were great, he ended up buying land and we ended up buying a bit more as well. Simon and Andree are great!!! Thanks guys - you are the best x | ||

| We went on the viewing trip with Simon & Andree as arranged and found them to be very helpful and full of knowledge regarding the area, Simon & Andree spent about 2 days showing us properties and went far beyond the call of duty. Whilst in Bulgaria we went to the coast and actually decided that we wanted to be in Balchik rather than further inland like we originally planned, so although we had viewed a couple of properties we liked with Simon & Andree we didn't buy through them. We actually purchased a piece of land in Balchik villa zone (we have just signed the final contracts) and intend to start building 3 apartments to sell once we have the plans approved. Maybe if this project goes to plan we may be on the hunt for some more land/properties and would definitely use Simon & Andree again | ||

| Just to keep you up to date - after our buying trip with Simon and Andree (Fox Properties) we left them with a list of our needs for one of the houses we had bought through them. We had given POA to the solicitor- Ilka who has also been great- and since then they have been in constant contact with us about building work that is progressing well and even going out and ordering a bed for us - to be delivered just before we get there! I really do wish that Estate Agents in UK were as helpful and friendly as Simon and Andree - nothing seems to be too much trouble and all emails are answered within the day. If you are looking in the General Toshevo area I would highly recommend that they are the first people to contact. | ||

Hi We have just bought a property in Bulgaria from fox properties Simon and Andree and now live in Bulgaria full time. Our experience with them from start to finish of the purchase of our property was very professional and helpful. Their team of lawyers and translators are of the highest standard and fully trust worthy which is most reassuring when you are purchasing and going to live in a foreign country. As with any property purchase there are always some snags but any that turned up were explained to us and dealt with. Over the last few weeks their computer has been attacked by a virus which has left them without all their client information, they have been working 24/7 to correct this problem so if you are trying to get in touch with them be patient it will be worth the wait, to have people working in your best interest in a foreign country. We have now been in Bulgaria three months and I am glad to say that Simon and Andree are not only the estate agents we used but are now our very good friends. | ||

| We have just returned from a great break to look over the refurbishment work being carried out on one of our houses by Fox Property Services. I am an architect in the UK and know where to look when it comes to building work. We have had a great communication with Simon and Andree during the work with (literally) a hundred photographs of the progress. Project management of the works is second to none and they are always at the end of a phone for any queries. The quality was not a disappointment, the roof is of a fantastic standard and the natural stone walls we decided on is amongst the best I have ever seen. I recommend anyone who is in the Varna region and considering building work to give Fox Properties a call and a chance to quote you. | ||

| Hi! I'm new to this forum. I've heard everyboby talking about it, so thought it about time I joined. First an introduction- We first bought a house in Metodievo about three years ago and fell in love with Bulgaria. We're not permanent yet but hopefully will be in the next 10yrs, when we can retire. In the last two years, we've been searching for that special 'something', either a renovation or new build and finally found the perfect spot in Vasilevo and decided on a new build as the original house was too small and too far gone. We therefore needed someone we could trust to project manage our new build. We had our own design and didn't want just a Bulgarian version of it, as I'm sure you'll all understand. We contacted countless so called 'agents' who all promised the earth but none which we felt 100% comfortable with. (You know, that niggling feeling which say's no, don't do it!) However, we eventually stumbled across Fox Properties purely by chance. Being English, they fully understood what we were after and to be honest, it was like talking to family! We spent hours going over the project, ironing out all the nitty-gritty so that they had the same end result in their minds as we did in ours. They had the plans drawn up for us and then quoted for the project. Strangely, they then advised us to seek alternative quotes which I found very odd but quietly comforting in a way. We tried a few different sources (some turned out to be real shady) but their quote, whilst not the cheapest was very competitive, so we employed their services and the wheels were set in motion. During the build, we've had phone calls, e-mails with photographs through the various stages and insites into customs like the blessing of the (roof) timbers. If the flow of information, checking of details and various options available was anything to go by, Simon must have been living on the building site! He has steered the builder from Bulgarian standards towards something which we wanted and expected. The finished product is absolutely fantastic and better than even we had had in our minds. Even the builder has brought prospective clients round to view his work and now quietly agree's that the persistence of Simon's demanding standards has paid off and was the right way to go. Fox Properties put us in touch with a good solicitor in General Toshevo who controlled the flow of money from our Bank account. With all the shady goings on we've heard about, I'm glad to say the Ilka (the solicitor) and Fox Properties had been 100% trustworthy and completely above board. 80,000 euro's is a lot of money to have in a foreign Bank with people you hardly know having access but our natural fears of the worst case scenarios were soon forgotten as withdrawals were requested by Fox Properties and sanctioned by the solicitor to pay the builder. From the pure chance of stumbling across Fox Properties, Simon and Andree have become firm friends which is an endorsement in itself. If you're thinking of buying or building in Bulgaria, then I've no hesitation in recommending Fox Properties and I really cannot speak highly enough of them. They have a passion in their work, they're honest and they'll tell you straight. | Hi We are using Fox Properties for our renovation work, and are really pleased with the contact we have had with them, they have answered all our emails promptly and they have sent us regular photo's of the work. We went over there the back end of last year and we were very pleased with what had been done so far. The new roof was nearly finished and looked beautiful and very well done, they had also started on the extension. Both have now been completed and a lot of the internal work which we are looking forward to seeing on our next visit, and then we will arrange with Andree and Simon the next stage of the project.
